I live in the town centre in Colchester, Essex where you company has taken over the construction site at the old hospital in Lexden Road, Colchester. I just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful work you are doing in keeping the area surrounding the site clean, tidy and good to look at with constant upkeep of the surrounding boarding and removal of graffiti and litter etc. As a resident, it is a joy to see that you really live up to your name! Thank you.

Just wanted to say what a pleasure it has been working with you and your crew. I will miss you all very much when you go. I have been very impressed with just how professional, honest and hardworking you have all been. Nothing has been too difficult for you to do for the residents.

I am also impressed by how patient, considerate, thoughtful and understanding of the residents and myself you have been. Even when you have already explained something to us a hundred times already and we keep coming back. 

I have worked on a number of large regeneration and new build projects over the past 25 years of my career in the housing sector, and I have never worked with a more caring and understanding team. It made me wonder if we were just blessed to have been given the best team the organisation has, or, if this is the ethos of your company. I would like to think it was both.

Styles House TMO would like to say on record how impressed they are with the approach that Kind Builders have and continue to demonstrate daily. Kind Builders have been friendly and approachable from day one. It's never easy to work with a wide diversity of tenants on huge, very upsetting changes to their environment, and some people are bound to find the ongoing changes difficult. Kind builders have gone above and beyond to deal with problems as soon as they arise and have had a very understanding and experienced approach. Building projects on our estate in the past have been very problematic and stressful but working with Kind Builders has been a totally different experience. No project is ever problem free, but we would all like to thank them for their total professionalism, approachability and problem-solving skills. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all.

We were delighted to work once again with our client and contractor – and get our hands dirty, making growing beds for a neighbouring Almshouse! More so, given its residents were inspired by our Colby Lodge gardens.

We just love the raised beds and the amazing skills, application and graft of the men building the raised beds from scratch was truly amazing. Their attitude, humour and finish was outstanding!! The celebration the next morning was icing on the cake, roll on spring…”

Very pleased with raised beds, no more bending to plant flowers! And they look good, the sleepers used will last for years. 

The raised beds have helped due to their height and not bending will really help. It will be really nice to be able to snip off herbs easily whenever needed. I’m hoping to grow runner beans which I wouldn’t have been able to do before, due to not being able to bend down too well these days. 

We were very impressed and pleased with the quality of this scheme, the site team were very conscientious, keeping us well informed at all times. It was a real team effort.

The Site Manager has ensured that at all times the needs of our children and families has remained paramount. He has unfailingly worked co-operatively with us and has been highly responsive and proactive in his solutions to situations as and when they have arisen.

I’m delighted that it is Kind & Company which is going to be leading the building of this development.

This Leytonstone company plays a strong role in our community, not just be creating local jobs for local people but also working with our Business Growth team to help keep us in touch with the needs of local businesses and sponsoring the London Borough of Culture 2019. They have worked with us before and take pride in the work they do, so we look forward to yet another high-quality housing scheme from them.

We have analysed the defects reporting after 6 months and there were 17 finishes defects, of which 3 were communal, which is an average of 1 per household, which is quite impressive.

We have worked recently with Kind & Co on three affordable housing developments for the LB Sutton, which we designed up to planning submission for the council...Kind won the tender and appointed us to continue the technical design. The quality of workmanship in the completed buildings has been excellent, the sites appear to have been very organised and well managed and our relationship with them has been absolutely collaborative and constructive.

The level of service we received from Kind & Co was excellent and we were really pleased with the finished project. In fact, we wish we had known them eight years ago when our head office was refurbished.

The quality, efficiency and professionalism of the Site Manager, the project team and subcontractors were fantastic. Working in occupation close to highly dependent people, Kind’s respect of our environment made what could have been traumatic into a mutually co-operative and understanding success.

He was very kind to me, helping me find somewhere to park and always keeping me safe. He ensured I had wheelchair access to my property at all times. He always communicated clearly with a smile and good humour…. his hard work and character ought to be recognised. He was very helpful to me although he had had many conflicting calls on his time...his humanity and integrity are an example to us all both on the estate and to his colleagues.
