Community

With over 75 years based in Leytonstone, we are conscious of our position in the local community and the role we can play. On our sites this ranges from a determination to make use of local labour where possible, but also to ensure we communicate clearly and openly with our neighbours, to maximise understanding of what we are trying to achieve and minimise inconvenience. This has resulted in close liaison with schools, charities and local support groups, practical assistance to individuals and involvement in major community initiatives.

As an example of our commitment to local initiatives, we were proud to have been able to support our home borough Waltham Forest as they hosted the first London Borough of Culture, which launched in 2019.  Sponsoring their volunteer programme has provided experience and training to a wide cross-section of local people and facilitated the safe presentation of the events that took place throughout the year.

We encourage our people to get involved in their own causes and charity events. These have included sponsored walks and runs, baking, Christmas collections as well as offering practical assistance to local groups.

Local community engagement is important to us at Kind & Co. We are currently supporting two youth initiatives: Harold Wood Athletic FC and Brentwood RFC. We look forward to our growing partnership with Harold Wood Athletic FC and Brentwood RFC in the future.

Our Future

It is our intention to continue to build on the firm foundation of our heritage and invest in developing sustainable and strategic growth. The quality, knowledge and service so long at our core, remain major drivers to our future. With London and the South-east requiring extensive residential development to meet demand, our experience and focus in this significant sector provides considerable opportunities for the future of the organisation. It also places us in a perfect position to contribute to the inevitable Care, Education, Commercial and Health sectors that support the communities being built.
