Gerry Lennon

Pre-Construction Director

Construction is in Gerry's DNA, with multiple family members working in the industry, as such it was inevitable he followed in similar footsteps. Prior to joining Kind & Company in 2016, Gerry amassed 37 years' experience in the industry having started as a trainee Site Manager, becoming Site Manager and eventually a company Director.

In 2018, Gerry was appointed to lead the Pre-Construction Department and remains responsible for overseeing all pre-construction activity including estimating, design co-ordination, planning and buildability. He has extensive experience with various procurement routes including Design and Build projects and has a flair for working with clients on two stage and negotiated schemes that required a collaborative and proactive approach.

More recently in 2023, Gerry joined the Board of Directors to support the company's continued plans for profitable growth.

Education and training has played a major part in Gerry's career, having worked with Loughborough University in 2008-9 where he contributed to a study of off-site manufacturing in construction. In 2006 Gerry was invited by an FE College to give a workshop on foundation designs and this led to a post in lecturing level 3 to 6 in the Built Environment at the college.

He was awarded Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building (FCIOB) in 2012, and shortly after this he became a member of the CIOB Professional Review Member Panel.

In his spare time, Gerry has some homework of his own as he continutes to renovate a Grade II listed thatched cottage in Northamptonshire, he is also a keen gardener and enjoys cooking and spending time with his family.
