We are delighted to see our very first Passivhaus scheme showcased by the Passivhaus Trust in their March online newsletter!

The article begins:

“The Jean De Forges House project at Leather Gardens for the London Borough of Newham demonstrates a can-do approach to building Passivhaus social housing. The project was the first to the Passivhaus standard for the building contractor, which has subsequently gone on to undertake five more Passivhaus projects. The five storey building comprises 21 affordable rent homes with a mix of three, four and one bed flats and 2 wheelchair accessible homes.”

Our Head of Marketing & Partnerships Gemma Gallagher added:

“The scheme achieved Passivhaus Classic certification, exceeding the minimum airtightness requirement, with an almost 20% improvement on requirements. In addition, there was a 33% improvement in annual heating demand.”

As an SME driving sustainable construction across London and the Southeast, it's a proud moment to see our very first certified scheme recognised by the Passivhaus Trust.
